1012.6 Firmware Update for hw-Q90R Soundbar

Hi Guys,

I've performed the firmware update 1012.6 for my HW-Q90R soundbar via USB drive. (currently doesn't work with smarthings app)

Given that there is no official statement from Samsung with the details of the update I would like to check with the community what new features have been included.

Also how should be the list bellow if the firmware 1012.6 is correctly applied to all components  ?

That's simply down to under engineering the hardware then, aka saving costs. Which is typical and classic. I'd rather pay $50 extra on hardware like this to be sure all capacitors, amps etc. are up to par no matter what I (reasonably) throw at it. Either way, if this is the case, they will never every admit that. No company does. But 1+1=2.

Does anyone know what shop6 means... To show this on your sound bar.. You have to hold down the volume button when the power is off.. Then you will see SHOP6... I believe this has something to do with dealer mode.. But what does it do.

@Pepsino I would love the sources you mentioned of with problems as a link. Please link your sources you mentioned earlier where lots of people have issues with that firmware.

@Soussi I don't want to offend anyone, but I believe if you want to find them, there is a good search function for this.

Now you are deceivingly adding 'lots' in your statement which I haven't used. Quite the contrary. I don't know how many people have this problem , I don't claim to know and that's what I am interested to find out myself too. Hopefully find solution to it too.

Only if the rear speakers are from the same Q90R model.

Try Samsungparts.com for a replacement pair.

So I made the plunge and kicked that garbage q90r soundcrap. Now with the vizeo to give it a go.. The separation is unbelievable this was the best idea I had.. The q90r is a joke of a sound bar.. The vizio is better sub looks like a sub.... SELL IT WHILE YOU CAN.... LOL 😂 ^w3323
