I want to ask if Samsung A series especially A5 2017 will get a new update (Andriod 9 pie ) ?

we haven't official information about software update on A5 2017, but you can reach the latest update from Settings > Software Update.

No please, I don't want it. My mom's J3 has Android 9 and it's terribly upsetting to use.

I dont think so . But it seems that there is an error and you should do back up then factory reset .
