Call recording not working on EU Samsung phones

Hello.

Before saying that you can enable it in setting, you should know that I'm using Samsung phones since 2011 and this option was always enabled on my devices, until Samsung's over zealous legal department took it off for every European country just because in Germany you need the verbal consent to record the calls. 

I'm using my phone in Italy and here is 100% legal to record the phone calls, but Samsung apparently doesn't want to disturb their developers to offer us a so much needed protection against the numerous deceiving services calling us every day and enable it for the countries where is actually legal.

Their direct competition, Xiaomi, is giving us the possibility to record the calls in Italy because they apparently care more about their customer's need for protection.

For such little details Samsung is losing customers over Xiaomi, me included in a few months if they are still deaf to their customer's requests. 

I've always been a fan of Samsung, i own many Samsung appliances and devices but unfortunately I will soon give up on Samsung phones just because of this little detail.

I perfectly understand your disappoinment and I feel you.

However, I cannot but confirm the current policy due to Google's Android, on which Samsung has to align on its devices.

We do not know up to this day if changes will occur about this feature; but if so, we will promptly give notification about it.

I cannot understand why other companies, like Xiaomi, can and are allowed to have this option enabled all over Europe while Samsung can't.

Am I forced to buy a Xiaomi phone just to be able to record my calls ?

As soon as I get a chance, I'm replacing my Samsung S22Ultra for the same reason. These big companies always turn to rubbish. Too bad.

I forgot to mention that my 50EUR Nokia will record all of conversations using built in recorder, no issues. I think this just shows how much abuse slaves need to maintain good behavior. As soon as they feel like kings they become worst than tyrants.

However, as I previously told, the current specification don't allow phone recordings onto our mobile devices, I'm sorry.
