SmartTag2 Android Version Conflict

Happy New Year, all,

Just purchased Smarttag2, downloaded the Smart Things App, then tried to add the tag.  Got error message saying requires Android 9 or higher version.  My phone has Android 12.   Happened on 2 different phones with Android 12.

I have never used any kind of tracker before.

Any ideas?

May I ask what phones you are using? As it's compatible with samsung devices only.

Is Consumer Cellular Z7540 is my primary.

It's only compatible with samsung devices.

Sounds logical.  Will try and connect it to my Tablet and see what happens.
