Samsung galaxy type c fast charging plug

I have just purchased a samsung galaxy type c fast charging plug and cable but the samsung logo is upside down compared to all my other samsung plugs and leads, i have noticed that when I use the plug and cable the plug gets hot but non of my other plugs het hot, is there anyway of knowing if i have a fake or genuine samsung plug and cable? 

I have an update on the samsung galaxy plug and cable that i bought and my money is being refunded.

First question is where did you putchase this from ?

If not from Samsung then yes you could have a clone / fake. 

Sadly as the counterfeit charging bricks and cables are so well made now it's difficult to say whether they are or not fakes. 

So if you haven't purchased from Samsung or a reputable Highstreet reseller then I'd go with your gut defending, and return them and buy again from Samsung.com / Samsung Experience Store or a known reputable Highstreet Store.

These are expensive phone's so it's better to be safe than sorry especially if it's getting hot. 

And if this damages the usb-c charging port and Samsung deemed it was a charger then they may levy a fee for the repair.

Your right, I have 6 samsung galaxy phones and 2 samsung galaxy tablets and i definitely don't want anything to happen to them, i have already actioned to return it

Samsung genuine power adapters are cheap from Samsung store

This the USB C to USB C, I am sure you can get different cables for older models too
