WearablesHi all-
When I open the Samsung Health app on my phone, I can select rowing (outdoors) as a workout. If I go into that exercise (still on phone app), it even shows my Galaxy Watch (42mm) as an accessory that is connected.
But when I try to select that activity as a workout directly on my watch (so that I don't need to have my phone with me on the water), it doesn't show up. Just about every other exercise that appears in the phone Samsung Health app can be accessed on my watch, but not that one. (I do have Rowing Machine, but that has no GPS functions for obvious reasons, so isn't useful to me).
Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong, or if just that activity is not a feature on the watch for whatever reason?

WearablesHey again, @mayera !
We've got an update on this and we can confirm that our developers have stated they do not plan to add new specialised exercises using GPS or other sensors.

WearablesAre you serious! We are not asking for me..we are asking for what was available in earlier versions of the Watch and not available now. The Samsung health App has all these options. But in watch what is available is a very limited set and is not relevant at all. You don’t expect people to play games like squash, swim, etc with phone in pocket.....all other watches track it. And the most ridiculous part is that it has now individual gym exercises like leg curl, leg extension and so on..so u expect person to do a exercise, then change to another and so on. To me it seems like the team working on it has never stepped out, and used the watch.
guess high time it is raised in social media so that other users are not conned by this. Samsung watches I guess are the most stupid watches

WearablesHi @Kholal,
Thank you very much for your update, however, I’m really disappointed, and cannot understand this thinking at all. People really LIKE these Samsung smartwatches, and that’s why they want to wear it DAYLONG, no matter what they actually do. And if people wear your watches all the time and get used to it, then they won’t ever want to switch to any other brand in the future.
If for some reason you don’t want to put the sport profiles already available in Samsung Health mobile app into the Galaxy watches, then at least, please, make a “standard" activity profile which can record the time, distance, HR and altitude data during an exercise, and its type can be changed after the activity from “standard” to anything else in the Samsung Health app (like skiing, rowing, surfing, kayaking etc.). There’s no need to any “specialized exercise” like you say, only the option to record all the date using the GPS, HRM and barometer of the watches. Thanks for your understanding, and waiting for you reply in this case.

WearablesI completely and fully endorse @mayera 's comment.
Additionally, I note that this thread has been marked as 'Solved' when it clearly has not.
Samsung has not addressed our issue, which is actually very simple and requires very little action by the developers - just make Samsung Health consistent across the range of Samsung devices!
