Watch Pro5 doesn't light up when I receive notifications

Please help! When I receive a notification the watch does t light up. When I open the watch the message is there, but no indication it has come through.

Does it happen all the time or when your phone is very closer to you

Because, I think I have noticed that my 5 pro Lte doesn't even alert me of the notifications when phone is close proximity to me

Yeah, watch receives messages but doesn't light up. I only know a message has come through if I tap/open the screen.

If you go into watch settings on the app... Notifications.. Then advanced notifications, enable Turn on screen...

Thanks, already done and still doesn't work. It would appear I've been given a faulty watch.
