Watch Face and AOD not working in Galaxy Watch 4 after update February 2022

Galaxy Watch4 Classic Dear Samsung & Guys,

my Watch Face and AOD not working on your Galaxy Watch 4 after the recent update.

it freezes at the last time before entering AOD mode & suddenly jump to current time when I wake it up.

I Guess there must be a lot more of us GW4 user that experienced the same thing.

please Samsung help with this issue.

I try now with Samsung face and with AOD is on,and I notice it to work correct in time,like just to work all time. Only hands for show seconds on watch dissapear till I look on watch.

Samsung if you're listening this needs to be fixed urgently or you'll be getting my watch back for a refund.

Found a fix on reddit. Allow background persmission on app settings. Should fix the aod on both facer and watchmaker.

Yes,I did what you mentioned in the "permissions". I turned on the AOD and watched the clockwise behavior. For a while it worked normally,the hands of the clock moved minute by minute,the way they should,but after a while they "froze" again ! They came back automatically at the right time and resumed work when I looked at the clock ! The steps and heartbeat showed the condition only when I looked at my watch. However,I don't think it's a problem until GW4,but that I have a "error" in the new WF I bought that isn't yet adapted to this new EVA8/ software update ?!

Thus,with their latest software update (EVA8/)  from Samsung,their software in person,"minor" and "major" errors have occurred on our smartwatches (GW4). The first GW4 I bought,I replaced the same day with a new one because of the "bigger" errors on the watch that I immediately noticed,which also showed exactly the same errors as the first one bought the same day after the EVA8/ software update ! There are on the forum that all the problems were on my classes that I do not repeat here again and what I did when I noticed errors on my GW4 ! Basically,I mean that if Samsung managed to make bugs on its product with its software,then it's no wonder that other,non-Samsung apps have stopped or broken down right now !

I hope that all this problems and errors will be solved with a new update soon. 😉

Well it looks like the current update for the Galaxy watch 4 has fixed the always on display freezing and not updating issue for third-party watch faces at least on my preliminary review this morning. Hope there are no other bugs.

Yesterday I take another one,new WF and have the same problem with AOD ON and AOD OFF ! WF late with hours,but not always,just sometimes do problems...

I completely agree with you, I think it's really long before Samsung reacts. For a watch that claims to be there from Apple, it lacks seriousness. Personally, I am already starting to be very frustrated with the situation. I confess that I started to look elsewhere to see what is coming.
