Watch Active2 Passcode

I've got the watch active 2 and just wondered whether you can put a passcode on it so it's safer when I open and use on it.

You can by going thru, system, security, lock then choose pin. Think it only kicks in everytime you unlock the screen when you have taken the watch off your wrist, and when you put it back on for the first time, until you take it back off again
