Watch 7 Connection/Pairing Issues

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help.

I have a Watch 7 and S24 Ultra. My devices were working fine until a few days ago. I notice the watch was no longer connecting to my phone correctly. It would show the disconnected icon on the watch. After troubleshooting from the Samsung page and some YouTube videos once I try to reconnect the watch using Bluetooth or the Galaxy Wearable app it drops the connection after reaching 100% saying Connection Failed. Try again. Does anyone have any ideas about this issue?

I had a maybe similar occurrence last night. I have two alarms to wake me up in the morning, one set on my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic and one set on my Galaxy S22+ (which also shows up on my watch alarm settings). Last night I checked my alarms and no alarms on the phone were showing up on my watch. I tried disconnecting/reconnecting Bluetooth, then restarting the watch and the phone. Still nothing.

I ended up going down a rabbit hole and being forced to reconnect the watch to the phone as a "new phone." But it also led me to backup my watch at the same time, and the backup never seemed to complete.

Anyway, I made it through connecting to the "new phone," which was just the same phone, and restoring from backup from that day (I guess the backup did complete). Just had to fix some settings on the watch that the process changed.  Maybe this is what you need to do.  Not sure if this was the result of some poorly formed update to the watch.
