@smg1: While I don't have any news to share about any upcoming updates for the Watch6 series, and when they will be made available, you can check for any existing updates by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Alternatively, select 'Auto update' and the watch will automatically install updates overnight, while it is being charged and has more than 30% remaining battery power.
This can also be done via the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected mobile phone by heading to Watch settings > Watch software update.
