I've had my Original Active for many years. It's small and cute and does everything I need, however after upgrading to the Flip 6z phone, I've found that as the Watch no longer recieves updates, the Samsung Pay/Wallet would no longer work. I was also enticed by the upgraded health options, would it record my bike rides and info more precisely?
After a long time thinking I decided to upgrade to the 6. Gosh I wish I'd seen it physically in store first. The 40mm despite the same screen size is heavy and angular - very masculine.
More disappointingly so many apps no longer work!
Ring notifications are no longer compatible.
Email is now outlook, that's great but how do you get it to work?! I've given up trying.
Blink, Flow, and many others all happily worked on my old little watch but not on the new one!
Think this is first "upgrade" which for me the tech has gone backwards. What a waste of a few £100s.
I thought I'd done my research right, but I didn't think to look at what no longer works.
Anyone want to buy a cheap 6, cos I'd rather have to get my phone out than lose all the services I used to have!
