Sleep tracking is not accurate on Galaxy Fit 3?

Good morning everyone.

I noticed that my Galaxy fit 3 is not very accurate on tracking my sleep.

Yesterday I went to sleep at 10:45 PM, and it started tracking my sleep from 1:00 AM. It's not loose on my wrist, so the monitoring should be accurate. Anyone has the same problem?

Did you start sleep mode on the GF3 manually or by Modes or did you let the Fit3 auto detect your sleep?

I have the same issue with my Galaxy 6 despite it recording correctly previously. I am now finding it might not start recording until 3 for 4 hour after I go to sleep and still with long gaps in between.

I have not been able to sort this out even though I have checked everything

I have the exact same issue. Fit 3 starts tracking my sleep after a few hours I actually fall asleep, then shows that I was awake several times during the night for extended time. If I sleep for 7 hours, it would show that I have slept for maybe 2-3 hours. It is disappointing to see this in a Samsung product when other cheaper bands like Amazfit and Huawei show pretty accurate sleep info. Based on the date this issue was initially posted, it is concerning to see that it has not been fixed in 3 months.

I compared the Fit3 to my GW5 over several nights sleep and they both matched very closely in tracking. If you have updated the Fit3 to the latest firmware perform a reset of the Fit3 and do not restore from backup then test it to see if it works correctly.

Hi, thanks for responding. I tried resetting the band like you suggested, but it did not work. Still have the exact same issue.

And to add, I just posted below in Samsung Members. I could see from other posts that are more people facing this issue.

I am having the exact same issue with Galaxy Fit 3. To summarise, I am having below issues.

1. Sleep tracking does not work. It only tracks a portion of my sleep. It says that I woke up several times during night. Some days, it does not track my sleep at all. My band is tight and I tried resetting it too. It just does not work.

2. Steps during my Circuit training do not get synced with Samsung Health app on my phone. The step count in such cases is always more on my band than in the app.

3. If I perform workouts which use GPS like Walking, the watch is never able to sync that workout to the app on my phone. I can still see the workout and it's details on my band.

Not sure if Samsung is planning to fix these issues. These should have been addressed as soon as it was possible as these are the basic requirements from a fitness band.

Can you tell me what version firmware you have installed on the GF3 (there have been two updates since release) and also what version of Samsung Health you have installed on your phone and what phone you are using?

Looks like you have everything up-to-date but the Fit 3 Plugin. I am on 2.2.14.24070951

Have you tried uninstalling clearing cache and data of the Plugin and re-installing it?
