Quick post before I get flogged off the community as I purchased RayBans Meta AI glasses, yes and used them at the S25E event 🤣
Why, well, because I wanted to try glasses again since the Google GEN1 launch/fail, but more importantly, travel light, I did not want to lug around a DJI Gimbal or Insta 360 GO3, oops, seem to be mentioning a lot more non Samsung products, but they are all superb.
Anyway, a quick review, Rayban Meta are awesome, stealth, 99% of people had no idea what they were, the WhatsApp message (read out and reply), and PoV video is a killer feature, yes then photos and videos (oddly for Insta/Facebook but not 9:16 format), AI assistant is for basic commands they best I have used in terms of voice recognition, particularly talk to message. The camera and video quality at 12MP are perfect. Spotify music player is bearable but will never replace Buds, but handy for message readouts, etc... never used the Translate feature.
But battery life sucks, so bad, I tried at the S25E to do an Instagram Live Reel, total fail due to connectivity (might have been KX WIFI) but the battery was bad, lucky I checked, popped them in the case for a quick recharge, but missed what I wanted to capture.
Finishing on a MAJOR plus, the PoV shooting is wild, so quick, so easy, amazing quality, but at £379 for 4hrs use is a joke.
Conclusion, Samsung, please tell me you're not relying on the Google XR, yesterday's peek was depressing bad, barely a move on since GEN1.
Anyway, a sarcastic timeline of yesterday's use and battery drain, not just the RayBans but my ZFOLD6 battery took a major beating as constantly pinging data ??? to the Raybans Cloud (which is probably most people concern, PRIVACY).
