First thing to check. Go into the wear app. Watch settings > notifications > app notifications. Make sure all apps you want notifications for are toggled on. Also under notifications check in show phone notifications on watch. Check that you have the correct setting on you want. If you still don't get notifications on watch for texts. Reboot or restart both devices.
