Options to stop/pause/end activity keeps disappearing

Hi all, I have 2 instances this week where I have started an activity, and when I have pressed the side button to give me the option to end,it just pauses and unpauses. No screen with the new,pause,settings, finish comes up. I have had to switch my watch off to end the activity,which then means restarting the watch. The screen is there after the restart,and I thought it was a one off,but today is the second time this week its happened.anyone else had this and know what to do to fix it?

The side key can only pause and resume the workout. To stop the workout, swipe from left edge to see the menu. Hope this helps.
