@Grzeeg: Do you have a 4G variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 with an active eSIM/Mobile plan? If so, please head to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Auto, as this will automatically switch to your Watch's mobile network when the Bluetooth connection with your smartphone is disconnected.

I had the same problem with the LTE 4 but only with receiving texts. No tone and no texts. Have checked and verified my moto phone is set right and the watch is set right. Still no good on the texts. Have tried both google and samsung text apps.
