I have watch 5 and over the months I have noticed that my Vo2 max on Samsung health is decreasing every day when I brisk walk. It started off with vo2 max 42.7 now its 34.6. Anyone having this problem??

Apparently my VO2 max has gone from 37.7 when I started running for 30 seconds at the start of the year down to 33.8 now I'm up to around 11km... Resting heart rate down by 12bpm and weight down by 6kg. Doesn't add up.

I am so glad there is a topic about this because I was starting to doubt myself! I exercise 2/3 times a week and I can run 5km within 30 minutes. Even though I think my stamina could be better, I was surprised that Samsung Health said my VO2max was average, and today they even called it bad! I did cross fit today and there was no VO2max measurement, it was during a relaxing walk afterwards. I doubt my VO2max is really "bad"?!

Same for me. Over few months my vo2 max had decreased from 38 to 33. (Galaxy 5pro) Huawei Watch shows 43 (i'm fifty its should be ok). I was in docs and there was also hood results 10.2 Mets which is also good. So samsung watch is showing vo2 max way off.

Same here, mine is going down as my resting HR decreases, which should be a sign of becoming healthier. Really not impressed with the samsung galaxy watches. Definitely going to switch for one with better battery and more accurate health monitoring

Me too on this. I noticed this morning my watch 5 pro was giving a reading of mid 40s whilst on a brisk 5 mile walk and then when I finished and looked at the results on the phone (S22 ultra) it was low 30s

Same for me, VO2 max has been on a steady decline yet I can do 10 interval sprints for 30 seconds, with 90 second recoveries, can run 6 miles at nice slow pace 10min/mile with no issue. Can do pretty intense weight training program with trainer. I just don't get it. I think I need an alternative measure to understand this.

That's because brisk walking isn't enough to increase your VO2 max. The only way to increase your VO2 max is to do high intensity cardio...

Same for me, watch 5 pro in my 6th week of couch to 5km. Finding the runs easier and easier, and doing weights 5 times a week, but vo2 max just keeps dropping. Makes no sense at all.

I think this vo2max thing is just a gimmick, as I'm experiencing the opposite. I'm more or less a couch potato with a very mediocre condition and just started walking. Right from the start it said I have a vo2max of 38,7 which is excellent for my age group. I wish... this can't be right. I can't even run for more than 90 seconds.
