Hi

Im due an upgrade and hoping to get off iphone im using a series 7 apple watch at the moment and im having a few problems with my heart at the moment the apple watch has reassured me in many ways and the reason i went to the hospital was down to my watch notifying me about irregular heart

I hear this feature is available in some countries do we know when samsung will be releasing it in the UK

Thanks

@chris34732  The irregular Heart beat Function is not  available in the uk but will expand to more markets, not aware of timetable though. Some information here https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-brings-irregular-heart-rhythm-notification-to-galaxy-watch-i...

Still Galaxy watch 6 Classic is an attractive offering, one review here https://www.techradar.com/health-fitness/smartwatches/samsung-galaxy-watch-6-classic-review

£75 Discount at the moment https://www.samsung.com/uk/mobile/bundle-deals?cid=UK_

My Galaxy watch 4 told me I had atrial fibrillation. If it wasn't for my watch, I would have never known, so we'll worth getting. The only downside is that I am now on medication and due to my 2nd cardioversion, followed by a cardiac ablation.

It's already available on the Watch 4 and higher in the UK. I've used it on occasion and it works really well and is very accurate. You need to download the Samsung Heartrate Monitor app, if not already pre-installed, from the Galaxy Store.

The Irregular Heart Beat Notification is different from the regular Heart Monitoring via ECG. See these threads:

I can't stand wearing a watch on my wrist. The only reason I bought a smart watch was for the notifications. It would save me getting my phone out for all the messages etc. However, when I broke my heel bone the nurse checking me asked have I normally got a low heart rate. I laughed only when resting. To be fair the Samsung watch is absolutely spot on. Even the blood pressure monitor is very accurate. You do have to calibrate the watch first with a real monitor. Which you can buy from Boots etc. They match the hospital one's, in my opinion.
I'll give Apple credit for one thing. Their watch does feel very comfortable on the wrist.
