Obviously people are aware now that the latest update has brought problems with this, but can anyone explain what this is? Apparently it's concerned with Google apps but AFAIK I'm not using any yet it's using most of my battery.

I have no issues with my phone - this post relates to my Watch 4 Classic. That's why it's in the Wearables forum.

Google Play Services keeps all the Google apps and services updated. Apparently it links with the Samsung UI on the watch.

One solution is to keep reporting these issues to Samsung do they are forced to find a solution

How high is the consumption on your watch? I see that over time, the battery consumption  of Google Play Services has come down.

Mine keeps going up. On the last charge it was 5%. Also, before the update it used nothing.

You should get more than 35 hours from a charge.

That I agree with you. I used to get 35-40 hours before the upgrade. The battery has not recovered yet fully.

I will check again tomorrow when the battery is around 15%. I think it is in the range of 3-3.5% on my watch.
