Galaxy Watch - Disable pin lock

I have just bought a 42mm Galaxy Watch and all was fine with setup but suddenly it started asking for a pin lock every time I want to use the watch. Tried to disable but the option in the settings is greyed out. Also tried to disable my email accounts that may have caused it. Nothing is working and about to send it back. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have the watch 4 and I wear it a little loose because it irritates me being snug or tight. I got it more than a year ago and just recently activated the Samsung pay which activated the lock feature. If it's off my wrist for a few minutes it locks. When I'm sleeping it usually locks and sometimes seems to randomly lock. It's the Samsung pay. Under settings, then security the first option is pin. But turning it off resets Samsung pay

On the watch go into settings..then security..then you can turn it off from there
