Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic leaks - No more circle?

Seems android authority have their hands on some kind of 'official' material that suggests ALL new watch 8 series watches will depart from the circle in favour for a 'squircle' shape ala Watch Ultra:

Currentl living with the Galaxy Ultra on long term loan, I'm not immediately apposed to this design change but I do miss the bezel so hope that returns here.🤞

Comments in the code reference a possible OneUI 8 watchOS, with an action button and stronger vibrations like the current ultra (which are noticeable improved over 6 classic)

No mention on sensors, processor, RAM or software features

Squircle is the future 😂

When I first saw the ultra a year ago... I didnt like the new look. But it has grown on me since I took a punt before Christmas and bought one.

One thing I noticed is it is so comfortable and although it is heavier than the watch 5 pro I had before... it strangely feels lighter on the wrist.

Well I think it's on a 2 year cycle so new Ultra might be next year, this year is Classic

Would trade in my watch 4 classic for the 8 classic. Always been a fan of the physical bezel.
Also a good generational leap from 4 to 8! Smart watch technology really is plateauing

To be honest i saw this and was immediately turned off upgrading my 6 classic.  there's nothing classic about this design at all. its as ugly as the ultra is..

ive been waiting to preorder the watch 8 classic and check out the flip 7 before deciding on that or the s25 as an upgrade to my watch 6 and flip 5. but if the watch 8 classic looks like this trash. then its a big nope..

a classic design should look classic. which is what the watch 4 and 6 classics both did super well..

if you're going to release this modern funky hip whateverr you want to call it design. dont release it as a classic.

all i really wanted from the 8 classic was better battery and the upgraded sensors.

maybe a button swap for left handed wearers (so the top button stays the top button) oh and more universal markings on the bezel. left handed 30 marking is at 12:00 etc. but small gripes.
