Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling with a weird issue on my Galaxy Watch 7 (One UI 6 / Wear OS) and I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.
After a few hours, usually after Smart Switch performs a backup, the Wi-Fi on the watch turns on by itself.
I always keep Wi-Fi disabled manually, but it somehow re-enables randomly.
Every time this happens, the battery drains very fast.
I already tried 3 full resets of the watch.
The issue went away temporarily when I cleared all data from Smart Switch on my phone and re-setup everything from scratch, but after some time, it came back again.
So far what I tested:
Resetting the watch (temporary fix, but problem comes back).
Clearing Smart Switch app data (temporary fix, then issue returns after Smart Switch runs again).
Disabling Smart Switch backups → currently testing if that prevents the Wi-Fi from activating.
It really looks like Smart Switch is restoring/re-applying old Wi-Fi settings in the background, which forces the watch to turn Wi-Fi back on even if I turned it off manually.
This is very frustrating because it kills the battery
