Can you please try a first step of cleaning the sensors on the back of the watch.
If you have one of the Wallet payments options activated then turn that off and on to see if that helps.
Another troubleshooting step is to clear the cache of the app.

Ultimately a reset be the last resort.

Also noticed sleep tracking is not working and the flashing green light is getting switched on at all

Confirming. Since latest update seeing same problem with my Watch 6.
Highly annoying! Sincerely hope Samsung will fix this soon.
(Note: I do not think this is about proper strapping of the watch. I'd think wrist detection somehow is not sensitive enough or intermittingly fails detection?)
