Is anyone having problems with the battery life on the 40mm watch 5. I've had it 5 days and need to charge it daily. I have lots of battery saver functions on too.

I think for the first week or 2 it uses up more battery in an attempt to learn your usage patterns to optimise the eventual battery life. I can't speak on the Watch 5 40mm version as I don't own it but that's the way most of Samsung's products operate once set up. It should improve soon once you've worn it a while longer.

My Watch 5 Pro could only do just over 2 days when I first got it but now it regularly gets between 3-4 days with everything on to measure continuously, no battery saving options in use etc. There are things you can do which will undoubtedly help save battery that I could possibly help with but it all depends on what you find essential to you.

I'm using a Galaxy Watch 5 and after wearing it since 7am when it was charged to 100%, it's currently on 82% battery at 23:20. I haven't interacted with the watch much today although I'm not using any battery saving modes, but haven't enabled AOD. Are you perhaps using continuous bpm monitoring or doing lots of exercise tracking?
