Hi does anyone have one of these and if so do they work with galaxy S20. I have heard mixed reports like it does not connect easily if you are on o2 contract and that you need a sim card? Advice would be gratefully appreciated.

@ClaireyD: Which of our watches did you have your eye on? I can confirm that our wearables range will connect to a Mobile Device running Android 5.0 or later and with 1.5 GB of RAM or more, which naturally includes the Galaxy S20. You don't need a SIM card unless you purchases an LTE variant, and wanted to access network features without being connected to your phone. LTE variants come with an eSIM, which can be activated by connecting the watch to your phone via the Galaxy Wearables app then, on the watch itself, heading to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks.

I had the Galaxy Watch and now the Watch3 with my S20+ and had no issues, you'd just need a watch plan with O2 to be able to use the 4G features without your phone connected. You won't need a SIM for the watch as it's all handled with an ESIM inside the watch already, they basically just activate it to their network.

If you don't plan to use it without your phone connected to Bluetooth then the 4G side of things is pointless really 🙂
