Galaxy Fit 3 Step sync issues

Hi, I recently bought a Galaxy Fit 3 and there are issues with step count. Samsung Health doesn't count steps from the band if it's not connected to the phone via Bluetooth. To verify this -

My step count on the band was 3250 but when I connected to Samsung Health it went down to 3052.

So I disconnected band from the phone and walked 40 steps leaving the phone on a desk. Band step count went to 3091. I connected the band to the phone, synced with Samsung Health and step count went back to 3052 on the band.

Effectively lost 40 steps. This is obviously a glitch because one doesn't always have their phone in the pocket for example at home or office.

Mine keeps resetting after about 3000 steps!

I've had similar problems, but it also happened even when I bring my phone with me. Today I walked to the supermarket to get my steps in. It should be almost 2000 steps. When I checked my Fit 3 the steps count was still at around 150, the same steps I got walking around the house since I woke up. Knowing that the problem is bluetooth disconnection from reading all of your posts, I guess, somehow, along the walk my Fit 3 wasn't connected to the phone and when I checked it, it reconnected to the phone.

Same thing happens to me daily and I am wondering if there will be an update to fix this.

I'm having the exact same problem as everyone else.. I was comparing the fit3 to fitbit charge 5, and wore both bands simultaneously... The fitbit stopped recording steps at 3500, while I was able to get 33,000 steps on the fitbit, this was a full days use. I believe I had the battery savings mode on the Galaxy s24 ultra.. I do love the form factor and battery life on this device.. I wish samsung would address this issue sooner, rather than later.

It is happening to me too. I followed the reset instructions and it worked - for 2 days. I am not wanting to reset every 48 hours.  Frustrated.

Have you found any solution for this issue? I purchased brand new bands for kids and this is just ******* up their mood and the issue is same described by you.

No permanent working solution even after Wearable update.

I just read somewhere, that uninstalling Google Fit helps. I uninstalled it on 9th May. Since then I check every morning, if the step, calorie and active minute counter is the same with the results from the evening before, and so far everything is correct. Sometimes it needs several sync in the morning, to show the correct readings on the phone. But so far it works for me, I don't loose steps and both the band and phone shows the highest steps, dependig which one I use more in a day.

I hope it helps!

It looks like samsung is releasing the R390XXU0AXE1 firmware update for GF3 (for Korea only for now), hopefully the issues will be resolved.
