Galaxy Fit 3 Step sync issues

Hi, I recently bought a Galaxy Fit 3 and there are issues with step count. Samsung Health doesn't count steps from the band if it's not connected to the phone via Bluetooth. To verify this - 

My step count on the band was 3250 but when I connected to Samsung Health it went down to 3052.

So I disconnected band from the phone and walked 40 steps leaving the phone on a desk. Band step count went to 3091. I connected the band to the phone, synced with Samsung Health and step count went back to 3052 on the band.

Effectively lost 40 steps. This is obviously a glitch because one doesn't always have their phone in the pocket for example at home or office.

Just completed my first active work day with my Fit3 and I'm finding it's counting too many steps.....it's saying iv done almost 20,000. I came downstairs this morning, moved around the kitchen minimally and then out to the car....it was on around 500 by this point and carried on rising while I was driving! Is there a way of calibrating them better???

Lol.. well just seen this and wish i gone further into checks with this band.. same problem with steps not being captured... completed treadmill 2hr hike and it only captured 3,200 steps of close to 15,000 steps.. even doing other workouts like HIIT it doesn't record correctly.

Has anyone managed to sort out their sync issues on the Fit 3? I feel like I need to return mine for a refund.

Purchased my Fit 3 yesterday (06 March 2025) and am having quite a struggle with synchronization. 

I have not even left home today, it is only 8pm now, and the band indicates i have done 8635 steps.

It also claims I have worked out for 120 mins and burned 501kcal. Which is insane for how my day went lol.

Tried so far:

On Band...

- Confirmed SW is latest version

On Samsung Health app (on phone)...

- Confirmed body sensor permission is not allowed

- Paused step reading from phone 

- Disabled Physical Activity permission 

- Enabled all Health Connect permissions

Any advice or other tips?

I had the same issue, bought the fit3 today. Managed to get the steps drom the phone to the app, not other way around.

Solution: I disabled health connect from Google Fit and from Samsung health. Dont know why it worked, i had different steps at Google fit. Now when i put bluetooth on and sync with phone, first the steps lower to what it is in app, then they update in both phone and watch. Hopefully it stays like that. Have to dare try tomorrow turning off phone and watch and see if it still works.
