Galaxy Bud2 Pro not connecting to Samsung Wearable App

My brand new Galaxy Buds2 Pro is not connecting to Samsung Wearable app with either my Samsung S22 Ultra or Samsung Tab S8 Ultra but connects fine through the Bluetooth. I haven't gotten any help from Samsung customer support. Any recommendations?

Sorry if im asking the obvious here ....
Have you used Add New Device in the wearable app with the buds in their case open sitting next to your phone or tablet. The wearable app should pick them up immediately
If you have... and this doesn't work, I must ask where you purchased them because fake ones will attach via Bluetooth but not via the wearable app.
There is one sure way of checking them, and that's contacting samsung customer service to check the serial numbers. I've done this myself after purchasing from Amazon before I cut the seal on the box.

Same issue, I registered them and the serial number is real, but from a different country. They work fine paired with my pc or phone. The wearables app shows the buds in my 'paired devices' category but says it can't connect. I've tried unpairing and repairing, powering both phone and earbuds off and on etc.
