@Samsung - This is the second Active 2 I have. The first one got an issue with the touch screen and the shop where I bought it did replace to me at no cost. This was like 6 months ago. Today, after coming back from a nice morning run, my active 2 watch start the reboot loop. How can I sort it out this issue please? Please, advise ASAP. Thanks,

I bought mine used from Amazon renewed. I had the same experience twice. I think the soapy water got inside. It wasn’t submerged only now and again sprinkles of water or soap suds would get on it.
after investigating I found out that a cover was not installed on it when I bought it. So under the watch you can see about five little gold metal contacts. This made it easier for the watch to be compromised.
The first time this rebooting loop happened only for a day or two. I didn’t realize then it was because of the moisture.
Now after the second time it’s stuck completely in this loop. It’s now been almost a month. I feel like I’m not allowed to even sweat.
I have no warranty so I’m ordering a tri wing screwdriver to see if taking it down completely would cause it to reset. I’ve heard that it also lets water in through the speaker grill on the side of the watch.
if anyone has found a solution to this I’m looking forward to your answer!

It really is a disappointment with this watch.
A watch that you can swim with but won't handle a shower or washing dishes.

Went for a swim in the pool yesterday (like the past few weeks). And selected the swim activity.
I noticed the reboot loop after 100meters or so, popping up instead of the usual heart rate, lanes and stroke rate. Put off the Galaxy2 Active.
Today, the Galaxy 2 seems to have passed away. Press buttons for more than 10 sec still leave a black screen. Recharging via the official adapter: nothing.
I enjoyed the watch during swimming so fat, but what to do now?

It's a big shame really. I went to Samsung in Miami but very difficult to get things sorted out since I did not find a Samsung official store, only shops that sells Samsung (apple phisical shops are way easier to sort out similar issues). So my solution was to buy a Garmin and forget about Samsung Active 2 or Apple watch. I'm enjoying Garmin and so far so good!

Yes this is a big shame. There is obviously some sort of design flaw with the hardware that allows water to get under the LCD. They market the watch to swim in yet the watch fails if it goes in the shower? I've been a long time Samsung customer but after getting burnt with this watch it may be time to start looking at other companies when I go to replace my watch and s10.

Update to my previous post. I have taken the watch for repair and they confirmed that water had indeed entered the bluetooth area and the battery area (despite being a waterproof watch designed and marketed for swimming!!!).
They recommend that I don't get it wet again...
I'll do like Daves and switch to Garmin. Pitiful Samsung. Waste of money.

Good to hear your Garmin is fit for purpose!
Thx - that is probably the best solution. Although it does not feel fully satisfactory (bought a relatively expensive Galaxy2Active in Sept 2019, which does not seem to deliver (water resistant when swimming), so where is Samsung in this story..) I am indeed inclined to do that.

Mine is also in a rebooting loop. the recommended actions above are impossible to implement when the watch is stuck in this loop. I also believe it to be water damage, which voids the warranty, even though it is supposed to be a water resistant watch that you can take swimming. My last fi#$it device was better with the water. I can't stand apple and I'm an advocate of Samsung, but.... this is hard to deal with. I've had my watch for 17 months.

Same here. Was just in the pool, with the protection turned on. Keeps on rebooting. Guess I have to wait until completely dry.
Should not happen…
