I've got the same issue with my buds+. When the battery in the case is flat then sometimes it won't charge if the buds themselves aren't at 100%. Once the buds are charged the light turns off and the case stays at 0%. To get it working again I have to remove the buds then put the case on charge. After about 20 minutes you can put the buds back in and it should charge normally. Leaving the case open and buds in on charge has worked for me as well if your worried about loosing your buds.
