Classic 4 Blood Pressure Accuracy

Blood pressure measurement was the feature I bought his watch for and it let me down big time. This is what I have noticed every time after calibration. Just after you calibrate the watch and get a few measurements they are pretty accurate... BUT... that's because it's just been calibrated and gives you blood pressure results within the range of the calibration. So far so good... The 3rd value of the calibration as (92-130).

My blood pressure some times does drop, so one of those times (1 day after calibration) I measured my blood pressure both with my OMRON and SAMSUNG CLASSIC 4 and the results? OMRON gave me the low blood pressure I had (75-110) while CLASSIC 4 gave me a measurement close to the calibrated one (95-133)!!!!! Totally wrong and way off.

So I assume blood pressure measurements are accurate if you 100% healthy all the time and have a steady blood pressure which if this is the case YOU DON'T really need a blood pressure measurement device anyway!

I am frustrated because I have used every possible watch position, as indicated a centimetres way from the wrist... I moved it in front... tight, very tight... not tight, both hands, everything... the results are the same. I was waiting for this feature for years and when I saw that SAMSUNG was releasing such a product I though it would be full proof, I was wrong. I am a SAMSUNG user since NOTE 1 and very disappointed with my purchase.

You are absolutely correct about this.

My watch 3 does same thing.

I think the only thing this watch actually measures accurately is the ECG and BPM, aside those, the Samsung watch always reflects what was previously calibrated and not what is currently the blood pressure.

It's safe to say, the Samsung watch is good for those who don't have high blood pressure issues, their blood pressure will always read what the bp monitor says.

 UPDATE  :

I think samsung didn't do much testing with their watch to know how to place the hand when reading the blood pressure.

So I measured my blood pressure placing my hand same way Huawei directed users to check their bp, just like the picture above, and it actually gave me an accurate reading different from placing my hand on the table like samsung had directed for their watch.

Try that and see if it works same way for you.

Unfortunately, no it did not work. I also tried more loose strap... a more tight strap... a bit further away from the wrist... a bit more down... actually tried all combinations just to check. NO LUCK.

I was hoping that because it's a SAMSUNG that it would be quite accurate I took mine an hour ago my machine said 150/84 with 79❤️ yet my watch said 132/81 76❤️ so if I am out and about and my watch says I am OK I will just get on with things where in fact I could be close to a heart attack. My friend tested it out when he went on the running machine it said he was fine but his pulse was about 140.

I TOTALLY agree... It just DOES NOT WORK... Completely unreliable. Only measures in the range where it was calibrated.

Yes. I don't understand how come some people says it works, unless you have a very stable rating.
