I have had a problem with my earbuds pretty much since I got them last year, I didn't use them much for phone calls so I didn't do much to try and solve it other than resetting them, cleaning them and turning off ambient sound. I am now using them more and more for phone calls so it is becoming a real problem.
The background noise on my end is EXTREMELY loud to the person I am talking to, so much so that they end up having to hang up because they either can't hear me properly or they want to save their own eardrums. I can only use them if I am in an almost silent room.

canI ask what phone do you have connected this and whether the Ambient feature is turned On when that happens?
Navigate to and open the Galaxy Wearable app. Swipe to and tap Ambient sound, and then tap the switch to turn it Off if On.
