Auto connect to different device Buds+

Hi everyone, still using Buds+ ( might upgrade to latest ones when out ) but they're connected to my phone and tablet , if I'm using them on my phone , take them out of my ears and back in the case THEN unlock my Tab S8+ and open the Buds+ they do t connect up , I have to go to Bluetooth menu and click the Buds+ in the menu ! Thought they might auto connect??? Thanks

Is auto connect on in connection settings on both devices. Also auto connect usually kicks properly in when you have kept you headphones in and both devices are on https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/mobile-devices/galaxy-buds-pro-auto-switching/
