Antioxidant Index / Vascular Load on Galaxy Watch 7

Hi,

Samsung should give those new features to the Watch 7 in a future update.

It's absolutely unfair for their customers to be left behind on devices that are 1 year old. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2024 is getting those software updates because Samsung was too ashamed to limit them too, but the Watch 7 peasants seem to not matter at all for the corpos.

The watch has the same CPU and the same sensors as the Watch 8. Hold these features for a while to reach your sales targets and then enable them for all devices that can do these things.

Hopefully more people will ask to be respected instead of just buying the new thing.

Thank you for your time!

@AdrianT13: I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment surrounding this matter. Please understand that the Watch8 contains features that won't be accessible on previous models as a unique selling point. This means that, at least for now, options such as the Antioxidant Index are exclusive to the Watch8 and Watch Ultra.

Vascular load should be the only thing you won't get.

The watch 7 should get antioxidant index, running coach and bedtime guidance.

The fine print of this

Both say "Service only available with the Galaxy Watch Ultra or later released Galaxy Watch series."

For reference, Running Coach says "Service only available with the Galaxy Watch7 series or later released Galaxy Watch series."

It's clearly just an arbitrary software limitation that has nothing to do with the hardware inside. I don't even mind waiting 6 months or a year for these features, but they should eventually be released for all watches that have the same sensors as the Watch Ultra.

Aaaah, my bad. I must have read it wrong. Yes it does seem they're not avaliable on the watch 7.

And yeah it does seem like an arbitrary software limitation.

Kinda surprised I misread that

To be honest you are not gonna miss much really.

I understand its nice to have the new features but at the same time given they are new features they won't be up to scratch and will be say more ripe for the next watch 9 at which point you could upgrade your watch 7 or lower to really benefit from those trackers.

Brand like samsung doesn't/won't add any value to their previous model. Thus , it's not worthy to buy those watch. in time that's become product valueless. By the way after 3 month no one gonna use any of those features. If you wanna buy watch, buy Japanese, European automatic or mechanical watch. Will run through life and increase value. Thank you

If this is only a sw limitation and not a hardware one, i will remember next time i want to buy a watch. Anyway i don't really like the squircle design.

That part! I have consistently upgraded every year or so from 1, 3, 4, 5,6 and, 7 to the LTE versions (not ultra because they never fit correctly or look right on my wrist). I will not buy the 8 and now I will not buy an ultra. I guess 7 is where it ends for me and I'll be purchasing another brand. If samsung would actually listen to their customers there wouldn't be any issues
