Where is "previous channel" button on Samsung remote control?

I have bought a Samsung 48" television.  The remote control works OK, except that I can't find the button to jump to the previous channel. To put another way, return to previous channel. On my remote there is a "Return" button with a circular arrow, but that only works on menus. There is no "Pre-ch" button on this remote. I have also tried pressing "0" as suggested elsewhere but that doesn't work.  Which button is the one to return to the previous channel? It is a very important feature and I can't believe that Samsung would not design it for my TV.

The TV model is HG48ED690DB and the remote is  AA59-00818A.

There is a previous channel process. Press the 123 button until you see the i for information. Scroll once to the right. You will see the word last. Press enter. You will go to the last channel watched. Good luck

I’m all for streamlined remotes, but It’s very annoying that there is no dedicated button to toggle between 2 channels with one click for my Samsung smart tv.  Here’s what I’ve found that works with my remote. Press up ( or north) on the outer rim of the large  circular button. This will bring up a menu at the bottom of your screen that includes( from left to right) Start Over, Last, Play, Watch Live, Settings and Info. Now press the left side of the large remote button and click on Last( a white circular virtual “button”. . It will also show the channel you’re toggling back to within the virtual Last button.  Not as convenient as having just one button to press on the remote, but it’s the most efficient way I’ve found to do it. I hope I’ve helped the next confused Samsung owner. :smiling-face:

What a stupid engineering to deprive us from switching between two games .. Samsung should fire whomever designed the worst remote control design ever.

The "jump to previous channel" button is actually the return button with the circular arrow.

Go to the Samsung TV Plus menu and choose the channel of your choice. Next, do it again and go to the next channel of your choice. Press the "return" button again and the Tv Plus menu will come back up. Press the "return" button one more time to get rid of the menu. You will now be able to toggle between your two channels using the "return" button.

Now, if you exit the TV Plus app (exiting outright or switching to a Roku or Firestick), you will have to go through this process again. This is what I believe is the main issue giving people problems.

Totally agree! This is rubbish! Luckily on my cable box remote the button still exists, only need to continue using two remotes.

If you wanted Roku flexibility and convenience, you should have purchased a Roku. I have a 55" Samsung 4K that I use for streaming. I will never, ever purchase another Samsung TV. The remote is archaic and the TV constantly loses my passwords for the various streaming services I use. So I am constantly re-signing in to the various accounts. This goes beyond annoying. My two Roku TVs work flawlessly.
