Voice Command Translates English to Russian

Hi my Voice command on remote QLED TV QE65Q8CAMT purchased in 2017 is started translating all my English commands to Russian, can anyone advise how to fix?

yep same here started happening 2 days ago I bought mine in 2017 also model code UN40MU7000, my voice commands dont work and its displayed in Russia some times french or portuguese I cant tell but mostly russian, have russians hacked our old samsung tvs since they are no longer updated?

I ordered one off amazon, but now I see I am not the only one with the problem I thought maybe my remote broke at least the voice command part

OK mine just started this today. Everything is in English but it is responding in Russian and not changing the channel further if you use Spanish or French it still answers in Russian. OK samsung get a patch and fix this.

I have the same issue with my Samsung UN55F6300 tv.

It started about a week ago and working with Samsung I reset my tv to factory settings and it worked for awhile but I just turned my tv on and its doing it again. A reset did not work this time..

If someone has a solution I'd like to know.

Workaround: use your smart phone to translate your desired command into Russian, such as typing the channel number for English and selecting translation language to be Russian.  Then press play to have your phone speak the translated command out loud in Russian while holding the mic button on the Samsung remote. 
Or have a Russian friend operate your remote. 
I’m sure the hackers just want us to make more friends. (Sarcasm).

as an experiment i actually tried that with google translate speaking the russian command for "picture mode: movie"  into the remote: "режим изображения фильм". it displayed as russian on-screen text but didn't execute the command to change the picture mode, something i regularly do as a voice command in english. tried some other commands but even though it displays Russian text nothing actually changes. don't have any russki friends.

I have tried that and a different remote same problem... Seems like a software issue.... SAMSUNG need a fix
