Voice Command Translates English to Russian

Hi my Voice command on remote QLED TV QE65Q8CAMT purchased in 2017 is started translating all my English commands to Russian, can anyone advise how to fix?

 Same thing happening to my QN65Q7FAM. It’s driving me nuts. Just started a few days ago.

bizarre, could be some kind of hack. exact same thing just started on my samsung smart tv also. english voice command displays in russian and doesn't recognize or complete the english command. can't fix with reset or change in language settings. i'm in california, saw a reddit post with multiple reports of same problem in europe. samsung what's up? what's the fix? is any other info at risk?

Has anyone tried new or different remote, ordered one just in case.

I have the same on my QE65Q8 TV. This a widespread issue, effecting a massive number of TV's. No response from Samsung. They need to rectify the issue. Looks like a cyber-attack to me.

Spent over 1 hr yesterday talking with samsung "Tech", not, and all I did was do the same things I had already tried to fix the problem. He said he was going to upgrade the situation, believe it when I see it. Waiting on a new remote.

Hi all,

 

I asked my TV/AV colleagues Samsung-side, and they confirmed that the issue is indeed being investigated:

 

"We apologise for the inconvenience, we are aware of the issue & are currently investigating as a matter of urgency."

 

Any further news that I hear on it, I'll share with you guys in the thread here.

Given the problem is so widespread, I do not think anything can be done in settings. Unfortunately, I do not think changing the remote will make any difference. I believe Samsung are the only ones that can solve this. Given the extent of the issue, I am surprised Samsung have not solved it.

I wonder if the BBC would be interested in hearing about this issue??
