I have purchased a brand new Sony G700 Sound Bar/Receiver.
I am having a very frustrating issue. When I turn the TV off the soundbar turns off great.
When I switch the TV on the audio source changes to TV and the soundbar does not turn on.
I have to manually go into settings and change from TV to Receiver.
The only way the soundbar comes on is if I Turn on my Nvidia Shield as the Shield is plugged into the soundbar and then the soundbar into the ARC port.
I see many thousands are having the same issue and have complained. How is it that my 4 year old LG worth around £50 can work fine in terms of switching on and off regards external sound devices. But an expensive modern Samsung cannot?
Please advise.
