Hello,
I received my new Samsung QN82Q70RAFXZA on Feb 13th and have been experiencing constant screen flickering issues since the moment we starting using our new (at Christmas) Nintendo Switch with it. Everything else works perfectly with The TV.
Here's the things I've done to attempt to fix the flickering between the docked Nintendo Switch and my brand new Samsung 82 inch Q70R:
Change the Nintendo Switch RGB to limited from Auto (This helped a little bit so I thought, but ultimatly did not resolve the issue at all.
Messed with "Match TV power State" settings on Switch. Disabling this ultimatly is what it took for the TV to detect the Switch in the 1st place, but once you do that the setting goes back to doing nothing to help. Disabling it simply means you can no longer turn on the TV with the Switch remote which of course is inconvenient.
Brand new expensive HDMI cables
Change Game mode to either on or off, just not automatic! That makes things even worse! It will toggle between on/off on it's own continously if you don't pick one or the other
The only things that seems to fix it sort of is to unplug the TV from the wall, unplug everything that was plugged into an HDMI port (Wii, Dish receiver, Switch etc), then plug the TV back in to the outlet with ONLY the siwtch plugged into a different HDMI port than it was in before I unplugged the TV! This at least works for a while but is obviously completly unaccaptable since this thing is mounted against a wall!
I have an old Samsung plasma that the Switch functions perfectly and a Panasonic Plasma in another room that works perfectly.
I notice what really sends the TV going crazy is going from the Nintendo Switch homescreen/menu, which may be sitting there displaying perfectly, and then jumping into playing a game. It's like the single button click sends the TV going crazy into black screens and often resulting in simply saying that no device is detected after an extended period of rapid flickering.
I'm getting desperate, it's truely unbearable!
