Could someone share the service menu settings, preferably for the H series but other models probably have similar ones? I'm looking for V_HDMI IDENT TYPE and V_HDMI PATH TYPE.

One value has a combination of the numbers 1234, and the other has the letters ABCD.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community.

For this, I would contact Samsung directly.

You should be careful when using the Samsung service menu, as it can cause problems if you modify the wrong settings.

Why be careful? You might change your TV's default settings, lose HDMI functionality, change the backlighting configuration, deactivate sensors, and brick your TV.

When should you use it?

If you are an experienced user and know what you are doing, you can use the service menu to change useful parameters. For example, you can use it to fix brightness loss or restore lost brightness after firmware updates.

Accessing the service menu on your TV can be risky, as it may void your warranty or potentially cause issues if settings are changed incorrectly.

Please be cautious and make sure to note down any changes you make, as incorrect settings can lead to issues with your TV's functionality. If you're unsure, it might be best to consult a professional technician or contact the manufacturer's support team for assistance.

Accessing the service menu on Samsung H series TVs can be done using a specific sequence on your remote control. Here's how you can do it:

1. Power on your TV and set it to the TV input.

2. Press the Mute button on your remote control.

3. Enter the code 1-1-9.

4. Press the OK button.

Once you're in the service menu, navigate to the Hospitality Menu and then to Engineer Option < Config_AV_PATH. There, you should find the settings for V_HDMI IDENT TYPE and V_HDMI PATH TYPE.

*AGAIN

Please be cautious and make sure to note down any changes you make, as incorrect settings can lead to issues with your TV's functionality. If you're unsure, it might be best to consult a professional the manufacturer's support team for assistance.

Hi, thanks fo so prompt response.
of course I contacted Samsung support at the first step, but they were useless and not helpful at all. Hence ask here.
I am a technical person and understand consequences.
My kid changed these settings and now hdmi is not working. He was trying to "fix" some issue :smiling-face:
