I just got a S90C and want to get the best out of all my devices but it seems like both my Apple TV and PS5 are unable to access 4.4.4 Croma otherwise known as 12 bit RGB. Is there any work around this settings issue? Wasn't 4.4.4 Croma available before and why would Samsung downgrade the signal? I hope there is a work around or Samsung updates their TVs to give these options.

4:4:4 chroma can be limited by the capabilities of HDMI cables and connected devices.

Proper settings on both the TV and connected devices (like PCs or gaming consoles) are crucial. Enabling "PC mode" or similar settings often optimizes the TV for 4:4:4 chroma.

Ensure you're using high-quality, ultra-high-speed HDMI cables that are certified for HDMI 2.1.

Due to these limitations, at 4K 120Hz, the PS5 typically outputs 4:2:2 chroma
4K 60Hz, it may be possible to achieve 4:4:4 chroma.

When the Apple TV 4K is set to output HDR, it may use 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 chroma subsampling due to bandwidth limitations.

Therefore, achieving 4:4:4 often involves using SDR output, which can be a trade-off depending on your viewing preferences.

I have all HDMI 2.1 cables connected to tv through all inputs even on the device which do not require such connection. They are high quality cables bought recently from a reputable manufacturer.

I have enabled PC mode with no change to the devices or tv settings.

I understand that the PS5 is unable to do 4:4:4 chroma at 120 fps. I have seen the PS5 at 4:4:4 chroma at 60 fps on my older LG CX.

For the Apple TV I may be wrong on its limitations but I believe I can remember seeing 4:4:4 chroma as an option on my previous oled.

Now even more frustrating I recently got a Mac mini and the tv does not support HDR from such a device. Well at least from what appears to me there is no way to change into HDR10. Unless someone can prove me wrong

I Believe the issue to be the current firmware of the tv from what I have seen the newest firmware is full of issues.
