I turned my tv on and a new program is popping up Smart TV powered by Tizen. (I have never seen this before). Tv turns on but when I use the remote (any button) the tv ‘turns off/reboots’ and then starts again on its own. Nothing works.
1. yes. I have unplugged the tv

2. Yes I changed the batteries in the remote

3. no I can’t go to settings because the remote triggers a reboot or turns off.

any ideas?
thanks

@Susan24: I'm sorry to hear that you have encountered this issue. At this stage, please confirm the model number of the TV, located on the sticker on the back of the device, along with which remote you're using (Smart Remote or Standard), so we can look at further troubleshooting steps for you.

Tv was working normally for about an hour and then I went back to turning off and then back on, on its own.

@Susan24: Please note that I have removed the image from your previous post, as it contained the TV serial number, which is a key identifier of the device.

Did you receive a Smart Remote with the TV and, if so, does the issue persist if you use this in place of the standard remote? For clarity, has the TV begun to power cycle without any input from the remote? If so, if you check the standby light on the set, is it flashing or constantly lit?

I noticed that this is not a UK model. Where are your based, and where was the set purchased?

Ok. Thank you.

i have only used the remote that the tv came with. Yes. The tv will cycle without a command from the remote. The red light does both (lol). I can’t figure out a pattern to when it’s constant or flashing.

Based in the USA. Bought at a Sam’s Club.

It seems to be getting worse. TV is off and it just turns on and then of course off, on, off, on.
