UE55NU8009T is my samsung tv model number.
I don't know whether this issue is caused specifically by the latest update to the os on tv but before I could connect both my tv and android device to the same network and turn the smart view on from drop down menu of my S7 and it would just work, no matter what was playing on screen.
But now I have to go to a specific menu in my tv or otherwise my phone dosen't find the tv. Normally (not opening that menu) I can connect smart things and use the remote but when i try to mirror the screen it doesn't work.
Airplay works fine btw and i can cast my iphone screen anytime i want, without opening any specific menu. That's how it used to be for smart view on my samsung phone to but it doesn't work that way anymore.
Is this normal and functionality to connect while anything is playing on screen is eliminated? Like the device won't be discoverable anymore until you go to that smart view menu . Or is it a bug in either my phone or tv? If it is then how can i fix it?
