My Samsung Frame TV is connected to both terrestrial antenna as well as a satellite connection to the internal turners.

To switch between terrestrial TV and satellite TV, on the remote control (BN59-01268H), I have to press the CH LIST button and then press the left key < , then up key twice, press enter key, then down key to select options of Terrestrial or Satellite, the enter key, then the return key. This process is 7 key selections.

Having Satellite/Terrestrial shortcuts on the remote would make things much easier because I know how to switch by the above mentioned CH LIST steps, but for other users it is very confusing because when if Satellite in selected and TV is switch off, then the next use wants to watch Terrestrial TV do not know the CH LIST steps and cannot watch the required TV channels.

Is it possible to create individual shortcuts on the remote for example red A button to Terrestrial and the green B button for Satellite?

Any option would be welcome.

What we need, is that when you press the home button the options at the bottom of the screen should list terrestrial, satellite and Samsung TV. The way to do this right now is overcomplicated. I don’t know why they can’t just add the third icon for satellite TV. Being as this is Samsung’s forum, Samsung never respond or in part in any of this. Such a simple change that will make life so much easier for everybody. Who the hell designed this?

The new white remotes have this. I’ve just set my channel down button to satellite TV and my new remote (small white) has a shortcut for Samsung TV Plus (along with Netflix, Disney, and prime) so I can easily flick between the 2

I'm not sure what "new white remote" you're referring to as both of my remotes are black - there's a full remote and the slim, rechargeable one, but, can you please explain how you've "set" your "channel down button" to do that? It sounds as if you've programmed something somewhere. That would be helpful for the rest of us, I imagine.

My frame 2022 model has the white Samsung remotes have the Netflix/Samsung tv plus/prime buttons on it (google Samsung new eco remotes) might be an upgrade on new models?

I’ve programmed the channel press down in my previous replies. So when I press down the the channel button (next to the volume button) it automatically opens the satellite tv guide.

I have the newest TV with the newest remotes. I suspect your "white" ones are the same as my black ones. I have just looked at the manual and do not see where it discusses how to program the buttons on the remote or where that function is that you're referring to - perhaps you can assist and point that out? https://files.bbystatic.com/Fwb3yTNTz13L2b%2FQLdA6Lw%3D%3D/A6C0A8FD-47D9-4E59-B472-3265FDE7FEC5.pdf

Weird. I have a different remote with 4 app buttons at the bottom.

Press the CH button, it should take you to the TV this screen. Then use the left arrow button and move across the guide all the way to the left and you should be able to select the default guide. This is where I selected satellite TV. So every time I press the CH button. It takes me to the satellite tv guide by default and then I select my channel instead of the TV plus guide.

So, you haven't programmed a button somehow? What you're describing - bringing up the guide and scrolling left to get to the input options is the same on my TV - though, that menu does not allow you to switch between the terrestrial and satellite - only between whichever one is actively selected and the other inputs - switching between terrestrial and satellite is buried in another menu elsewhere. What makes it more frustrating is that after browsing through the Samsung TV Plus menu, it automatically reverts to the terrestrial tuner.

This may be too late, but if I long press on my smart remote the channel up and down button, it brings up a menu on the right to change between the 2 systems.

WHOA! When did they add that? Amazing!

To confirm: if you long-press on the channel up/down button when watching TV (not on the guide), a menu appears. Go up to the top and you can change between Satellite and Terrestrial.
