Hi. I have a similar issue with my samsung tv and galaxy s7 edge regarding screen mirrioring. I am unable to display any content from my phone to the TV. But for some reason I am able to watch TV content on my phone, as well as the function to hear TV audio on my phone. I've tried the gallery shortcut key (no luck - TV starts connecting and after 20 sec displays a black screen without any pictures). I've tried connecting from the quick settings shortcut key "Smart View" with absolutely no luck. Also I've tried from the quick connect settings and still no luck. In addition I've forgotten and reregistered my TV to no avail. Also I have tried connecting to the TV at work (no luck). My friend's S7 works fine with my TV and the TV at work so the issue has to be with my phone. The problem stared after upgrade to the newest software on my phone. (Android 7.0) or quite possibly even before that. It worked fine before. Also I tried deleting the samsung connect cahce from application manager with no luck. Restarted the phone loads of time. Seems like I've tried everything up to factory reseting my phone. Any ideas what could be the issue?
The installation of sidesync had no effect. The sidesync functions did not work on my phone and the uninstallation did not fix the previous issues with screen mirroring.
ANY IDEAS?

The problem is still there. After installing sidesync on my phone and PC there is a new porblem. Pressing Smart View button in the quick access now gives an alert "Smart View and SideSync cannot be used at the same time. SideSync will close." with the option for CANCEL or ENABLE. Clicking CANCEL closes the alert box and clicking ENABLE keeps the same alert popping back time after time after time.... This issue did not go away after unistalling smartsync from my phone and PC. Nor after reinstalling and reuninstalling.
The provided link to "resolving my problems" is all nice an clear for a 5-year-old setting up his phone for the first time ever but has nothing to do with the problem I'm facing. @CarolinaW, would you please but some effort into this customer support experience. Your advice is worse than "have you checked the manual?"
None of the previous issues have been resolved. They all still exist.

I have exactly the same problem with my S7 and android 7. Same message, same result. Before I ever installed Sidesync Smart View worked. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the apps but nothing works. The phone keeps telling me that "Smart View and SideSync cannot be used at the same time. SideSync will close." even though SideSync is uninstalled. .
I would very much like to know the solution.
