Smart View stopped connecting to TV

My Samsung phone has stopped connecting to my Samsung TV UE55H6800A using Smart View. It was working perfectly, showing the phone screen mirroring on the TV but it has stopped working. The TV shows a message saying "connecting..." but it never actually connects. I have already restarted the phone and the TV and the WiFi router.

Exactly the same "connecting..." message appears when trying Smart View with a Galaxy A21s and also a Galaxy S24 phone. Neither phone actually connect, but a few days ago they both did.

The TV and phones are connected to WiFi using the same router as before when the screen mirroring worked.

This seems to be an issue with the TV or the WiFi router (Virgin Media).

Can anyone help please?

How do I get Smart View to reconnect ?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I turned the power off for the router and left it off for a LONG time. Turned it back on and it all works, Smart View connects again.

My Samsung S24+ phone has stopped connecting to my Samsung TV UE55H6800 using Smart View. I have also tried it using a Samsung A21s phone, but it doesn't connect either.

Hi @R2wo  Ensure both phone and Tv are on latest software, sometimes there can be an issue if Bluetooth is activated at the same time.  You could also try  the method of holding the power button on the Tv for around for  5 seconds  until it reboots to see if that makes a difference.  Other connection methods  detailed in this article.  https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/tv-audio-video/what-is-screen-mirroring-and-how-do-i-use-it-with-...
