Samsung UN75AU8000FXZC HDMI-eARC setting goes back to TV SPeakers every time i power of f and back on TV.

Pretty much says it all. Works fine with universal remote also on HDMI3. I have it going to a HDMI-eARC to RCA plug adapter and then to my Vacuum Tube amplifiers.

Entire setup works great until i power off and then next day I tirn on and i have to again go back into SOund settings and then select HDMI-eARC to make it work. WHy not just design it to save the setting.

Samsung if you are not going  to just put a decent Output jack in or RCA then at least make sure this stuff works. Only Negative of this TV and the optical is useless as does not work with remote for volume etc. Not sure what they were thinking here..

As well Samsung Canada support was really no help. First they had be reset my TV which did nothing and then send me a full manual instead of helping me fix it. I am assuming it cannot be fixed and that is why, not sure. The support was horrible and took 10 or 15 mins to get a text back. Unfortunate with all the money Samsung takes in that they care so little about their customers. Happy to take my money though for the initial purchase.

I suspect the issue is the RCA connection since the connected device is not HDMI eARC compatible.

Nope it is a certified eARC to RCA ADAPTER.. The TV sees an eARC device connected to it. As I said works fine until I turn off the TV then back on next time I use it.

Doesn't matter, if it's connected to a non eARC device it won't do what you are looking for as it's a one way connection to your amp/ receiver.

OK then there is no way to operate an external amplifier ald control tue remote? nice design Samsung. Why the hell did they remove the outputs then? That is nuts.

Not to switch on and off, no because the amp isn't eARC compatible. What happens normally is that a handshake is sent to the amp which doesn't get returned so nothing happens.

But the Adapter IS the eARC compatible device it is not the RcA is just an output for audio on the output of the eARC adapter. If it was not an eARC compatible device it would not work and allow me to select eARC on the TV sounds options would it?

So are you saying the amp beyond the eARC compatible adaptor needs to also be eARC? not sure how you make a regular amplifier work with this TV then? Optical works but you cannot control volume... So how do
I get tube amplifier to work when I turn on TV every time automatically?  What is the configuration I need ? and also make remote work?

The TV can send signal to contrl volume to the rx via the adapter but the rx cannot send the return signal when handshake is initiated when you start up the TV.
