I recently acquired a new TV for my house ( model UE65CU7100KXXU) and noticed on the second day of use that when I pressed the off button on the remote and the the screen goes off, that TV would produce a light buzzing sound (like a mosquito).
I tried changing the wall socket I was using and checking if the power cable was correctly placed but it still happens.
The sound doesn’t last long but it’s there.
Is this normal? Is there something I can do?

Tried unplugging it after putting the tv in standby mode and the noise stopped, but it’s still happening each time that I do it without unplugging it

Same thing happens with mine. Just had it delivered yesterday. Noticed the same buzzing sound. Googled and came across your post.

Sad to hear more people in this situation with no specific answer.
I did contact Samsung support and spoke to a “specialist” in the chat that told me it was normal to happen.
In their own words:
”Just a heads up, if you hear a cracking or popping noise, it could be due to temperature changes. A buzzing, crackling, or humming noise could be caused by electrical feedback. This caused by thermal expansion due to temperature changes and it's pretty normal as this noise are completely harmless and normal for TVs”
”This caused by thermal expansion due to temperature changes and it's pretty normal as this noise are completely harmless and normal for TVs.”
“The sound will not appear when the TV is on, since the TV have maintained its temperature. Once it is OFF, the temperature gradually does down which causes buzzing or crackling noise of the TV”
I’ve just been trying to be more aware if anything changes in terms of use or if the sound changes.

When you turn off your tv with remote its not really turning off. Its on standby mode.
It still draws electrical current because it needs internet connection for app updates. Wifi antenna needs energy. Wheter it is due to thermal problems or electrical, it still draws too much elec. energy.
Samsung wont admit it has serial problem with electronic background noise.
You can easily solve this problem by going to service menu and set your Tv to really shut itself off when you press on/off button on your remote.
The problem is when you do that your tv will hard reset every time and it will take 30 s to establish connection and data from its memory when your turn it back on.
Tv’s should not have this problem.
So samsung, solve this issue with software updates.
