Thanks for the reply and info. Seems odd that Samsung restricts OTA recording functions in the US when other products allow it (Tablo & Sling AirTV 2 for example). I have other streaming options, so will continue with the S95D purchase despite the idiotic restriction (also will not use TIZEN for everyday watching/streaming). I understand there is a work around by navigating deep into the advanced service menu and selecting OPTION -> Local Set (EU) -> EU_TOTAL -> OK. Of course, any errors during service menu modification can cause serious negative outcomes, including bricking the unit... therefore, I take no responsibility for failed attempts to change the firmware.
